Job description

We are seeking a Product Management Engineer to manage the lifecycle and continuous improvement of our adult incontinence product portfolio. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring products are safe, compliant with consumer hygiene and chemical safety regulations, high-performing, and cost-effective throughout their lifecycle. You will be responsible for sustaining engineering, product optimization, material qualification, and performance monitoring while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements for both products and raw materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate core values of Excellence, Productivity, Initiative, and Collaboration

• Serve as the technical steward for assigned adult incontinence products across their lifecycle

• Maintain and update product specifications, material callouts, performance criteria, and testing protocols

• Conduct periodic product reviews to ensure ongoing compliance with consumer safety standards and internal quality requirements

• Monitor customer feedback, complaint trends, and production data to identify improvement opportunities

• Ensure product and material compliance with applicable consumer safety and chemical regulations, including PFAS, Proposition 65, REACH, and ISO/OEKO-TEX standards

• Collaborate with Quality and R&D teams to assess regulatory risks, prepare documentation, and support audits

• Complete compliance evaluations for new raw materials, components, and suppliers

• Ensure all product changes, material substitutions, and supplier transitions are documented and assessed for compliance impact

• Implement product improvements based on performance data, consumer feedback, and compliance requirements

• Optimize existing designs and materials to enhance performance, production capability, compliance, and customer satisfaction

• Lead cost-reduction and material optimization initiatives while maintaining regulatory and safety compliance

• Trial, evaluate, and qualify new or alternative raw materials (SAP, nonwovens, elastics, films, adhesives)

• Partner with suppliers to ensure material quality, regulatory documentation, and transparency regarding restricted substances

• Conduct lab and production trials to validate material or design changes before full-scale implementation

• Maintain documentation for material approvals, regulatory compliance, and change control processes

• Use statistical tools to analyze results and guide product improvements

• Prepare technical reports, validation summaries, and regulatory documentation

• Partner with Manufacturing to implement product improvements and ensure compliance in production

• Work with purchasing on supplier qualifications, material documentation, and restricted substance declarations

• Collaborate with R&D and sales/marketing to align product improvements with customer expectations

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a manufacturing role, including quality or production

• Basic understanding of industry materials is preferred
