Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Product Engineer to bridge technical product management and business operations for 4G/5G Private Wireless Network dashboards. You will collaborate with enterprise customers and PMs to translate needs into features, drive the roadmap, and guide engineering with clear acceptance criteria.

The role involves designing the dashboard architecture, applying zero-touch deployment, and delivering simple, actionable insights from Core/RAN metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 1+ year of work experience.
• Experience in technical product management with skills in writing user stories and AC.
• Experience in 4G/5G network and Core/RAN technologies to diagnose connection issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Knowledge of security integration tools including Prisma, Twistlock, and SonarQube.

What you'll be doing...

As a Product Engineer of the Business Product Engineering organization, you will be working in network technology and AI of the Enterprise Network team. This role will bridge the technical engineering teams and business operations across Verizon Business Group (VBG), 5G Acceleration, and Network divisions, including Engineering and Operations. The objective of this role is to simplify complex 4G/5G Private Wireless Networks (PWN) so customer teams can manage their networks easily. This role will design and refine the central dashboard that makes network status clear, actionable, and easy to use.

You will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

• Collaborating directly with customers and business product managers to gather requirements and translate them into actionable product features.
• Guiding the product roadmap to meet enterprise customer needs effectively
• User Stories & Planning: Translating customer needs into clear user stories and testable Acceptance Criteria (AC) for engineering teams.
• Technical Collaboration: Partnering with developers to build, test, and release features, using zero-touch automation to streamline deployment.
• System Architecture: Driving the system architecture design for the dashboard while leading architectural solutions for new product requirements.
• Data & Dashboards: Turning complex network metrics (Core/RAN health, signaling, RF performance) into simple, clear dashboards and reports.
• AIOps & Alerting: Bringing AIOps capabilities to simplify the user experience, enhance operational efficiency, enable proactive anomaly notifications and define alerting thresholds to reduce redundant noise and provide clear troubleshooting steps.

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.
• Experience in technical product management with skills in writing user stories and AC in engineering environments.
• Experience in 4G/5G network and understanding of Core and RAN technologies to diagnose connection issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Knowledge of security integration and vulnerability management tools including Prisma, Twistlock, and SonarQube.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Knowledge of 3GPP standards and protocols (SIP, Diameter, IPSec, TCP/UDP is a plus).
• Advance knowledge of AIOps and the development of predictive network models for real-time orchestration.
• Agile Sprint Execution: Lead sprint refinement, backlog grooming, and release planning within an Agile software delivery environment to translate enterprise customer needs into prioritized epics and user stories
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration/leadership, ability to balance priorities between business stakeholders, operations, and development teams.
• Knowledge of Figma for crafting intuitive UI/UX designs that elevate the end-user customer experience.
• Experience in constructing real-time dashboards utilizing APIs, WebSockets, and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with distributed database architectures (MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra) to understand the storage layer's impact on dashboard performance.

Where you'll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $64,500.00 - $116,000.00.
