Description

Mittera is looking for a Product Engineer to join our growing team! As a Product Engineer in our collectible card manufacturing division, you will be responsible for engineering, optimizing, and documenting all production processes from initial printing through final pack-out. This key role bridges technical production knowledge with business operations, working directly with the estimating team to establish accurate pricing and templates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Engineer comprehensive production workflows for collectible card manufacturing, ensuring quality, efficiency, and scalability
  • Document all process specifications in clear, detailed technical documentation
  • Develop and maintain printing specifications including color management, registration, and quality control parameters
  • Design and optimize card finishing processes including cutting, sorting, and specialty treatments
  • Create detailed pack-out specifications for various product configurations
  • Collaborate with the estimating department to develop accurate pricing models and templates
  • Analyze production data to identify improvements and cost reduction opportunities
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions
  • Stay current with industry innovations and implement process improvements
Required Skills and Abilities
  • History of engineering, manufacturing, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in printing or paper products
  • Strong understanding of commercial printing processes and finishing operations
  • Experience with process documentation and specification development
  • Knowledge of quality control methodologies and measurement systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal
  • Experience with production estimating and costing preferred
  • Familiarity with collectible card production a plus
