Job summary

Tris Pharma, Inc. in Monmouth Junction, NJ is hiring a Product Development (PD) Technician to support the PD team by preparing pre-formulation samples, forming batches, performing physical tests, and maintaining lab areas.

Under supervision, you will set up PD equipment, document results, and adhere to cGMP and cGDPs. Requirements include HS diploma and 0-5 years in pharmaceutical labs; anticipated salary range $60k-$85k per year with a comprehensive benefits package.

We have an immediate opening at our Monmouth Junction, NJ facility for a Product Development (PD) Technician to join our Product Development team.

Job Overview

The Product Development (PD) Technician supports the PD department by preparing pre-formulation samples and formulation batches, performing physical tests as instructed and supervised, set up, running and cleaning simple PD equipment, cleaning and organizing PD lab/processing areas, etc.. The incumbent collaborates closely with, and under the direct guidance of, PD Technician Supervisor(s) or Scientists, to carry out PD activities, as assigned.

Essential Functions
  • Primary duties/responsibilities
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and state, federal and local laws
  • Prepares pre-formulation samples and formulation batches as instructed and supervised
  • Performs physical tests as instructed and supervised
  • Sets up, runs and cleans simple PD equipment per SOPs and department requirements
  • Documents all processes and results in appropriate laboratory notebook or records in a timely fashion as required by SOPs
  • Routinely inspects PD equipment and instruments and informs supervisor of any malfunction and breakdown
  • Cleans and organizes PD lab and processing areas on a regularly basis
  • Adheres to cGMPs and current Good Documentation Practices (cGDPs)
  • May perform other lab related supporting activities, as needed

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent (college a +) and 0-5 years experience in a pharmaceutical formulation laboratory, manufacturing department and/or pilot plant in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

Anticipated salary range: $60k to 85k/year.

Base salary offered is contingent on assessment of candidate’s education and experience level relative to requirements of the position and a review of related industry standards and internal equity.
