Job summary

Globalchannelmanagement seeks a collaborative Product Development Technician to bridge chemistry testing and physical fabrication in a combined lab and woodshop environment. You will batch formulations, execute ASTM testing, and build specimens for customer demonstrations.

Ideal candidates have a chemistry/materials background with hands-on tooling experience, a focus on safety, and the ability to log data daily in our digital Product Development system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Chemistry/Material Science with 3+ years or an Associate’s with 5+ years required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) and digital workflow platforms desirable.
• A lifelong learner eager to master new industrial technologies and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Batch formulations using various mixers and execute internal/ASTM testing for adhesives and sealants.
• Safely operate power tools to fabricate specimens for clinics and demonstrations.
• Fully manage product analysis, accurately record data, and log tasks daily via the digital Product Development platform.
• Champion lab/woodshop safety guidelines and actively contribute to the 5S program.
• Collaborate across teams, engage in cross-training, and ask questions to build strong interdepartmental relationships.

This role operates in both a laboratory and a woodshop environment, compounding experimental batches, executing standardized product testing (ASTM), and building custom specimens for customer demonstrations.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/Material Science with 3+ years of experience, OR

• Associate's degree in Chemistry/Material Science with 5+ years of experience, OR equivalent combination.

• Technical Skills:Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) and digital workflow platforms.

• Mindset: A lifelong learner eager to master new industrial technologies and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Batching & Testing:Compound formulations using various mixers; execute internal and ASTM testing protocols for adhesives and sealants.

• Fabrication: Safely operate power tools (drills, saws, routers) to fabricate specimens for application clinics and demonstrations.

• Data Management:Fully manage product analysis, accurately record data, and log tasks daily via our digital Product Development platform.

• Lab Safety & 5S:Champion strict laboratory/woodshop safety guidelines and actively contribute to the 5S program.

• Collaboration: Engage in team cross-training, ask questions openly, and build strong relationships across business areas.
