Job summary

Princess Cruises is seeking a Program Manager, Product Development to create and maintain a new planning and program management system supporting the guest experience onboard and at destinations.

You will partner with Hotel Operations, Guest Services, Entertainment and Marine Operations to align stakeholders, track milestones, and deliver on-time, on-budget initiatives. Hybrid Miami-based role requiring travel < 25%.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in product, business management, design, or related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred; PM Certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of program management experience in product/design/hospitality or related industries.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a planning and program management system for guest experience onboard and in destinations.

The Program Manager, Product Development, is responsible for developing and maintaining a brand-new planning and program management system to support the evolution of Princess Cruises' guest experience onboard and in destinations. This includes creating and maintaining tools to support decision making, resource allocations, consulting with key project stakeholders, recommending actions, and ensuring that projects are completed on time/on budget while meeting measurable goals.

Partnering cross‑functionally with Hotel Operations, Guest Services, Entertainment, Housekeeping, Onboard Revenue, Marine Operations, and other key stakeholders, the Program Manager will ensure that there is a clear understanding of who is doing what across stakeholders from various departments that are participating in product development including clear expectations of accountability, responsibility and deadlines for all workstreams – Follow up with stakeholders as needed to identify and alleviate bottlenecks throughout the product lifecycle from concept development through operational validation, implementation, and post‑launch performance optimization...

Responsibilities:

Program Management System Development:

Create and maintain tools independently for the purpose of managing large, complex processes

Identify and recommend digital program management platforms

Incorporate scope, timelines, budets, responsibility assignment, success metrics, approvals, commitment and milestone tracking

Develop a financial model encompassing the budget baselines, funding milestones and KPIs

Program Delivery Management

Track program milestones and ensure on‑time delivery

Coordinate interdependencies accross departments and workstreams

Develop user‑friendly dashboards from scratch and regularly update as needed for project stakeholder reference and review

Stakeholder Communication and Alignment

Provide weekly / monthly status reports to stakeholders and senior levels of executive leadership

Build and maintain shared workspaces and team sites to foster efficient collaboration

Create and maintain standardize systems for filing common project documentation easing accessibility to the appropriate stakeholders

Project Support:

Lead onboarding and manage business relationships with key partners including brand and project orientations, vendor set‑up, contracting and deliverable, payment and budget tracking

Participate and prepare for cross‑functional working sessions to capture decissions, priorities and update the program management system accordingly

Clearly document and communicate product intent, standards, and operational requirements to shipboard leadership.

Create and maintain key metric databases and dashboards to support project decision making

Problem solving: Applies strong analytical and critical thinking skills to create tools and processes that can be used and understood by stakeholders through the organization. Proactively identifies risks, program gaps, and implementation challenges, developing practical and scalable solutions that enhance service delivery while maintaining operational efficiency.

Impact: Directly influences the efficiency of the product development team and cross‑functional effort to enhance the guest experience on time and within budget

Leadership: Leads cross‑functional project processes without direct authority, driving alignment and accountability across Hotel Operations, Guest Services, Housekeeping, Entertainment, OBR, Marine Operations, and shipboard leadership. Builds strong collaborative relationships to ensure successful concept development, operational validation, and rollout. Demonstrates ownership, initiative, and sound judgment while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Technical/Computer Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced in Excel, Project (or equivalent), Visio and PowerPoint.

Requires regular use of collaborative and communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint.

General understanding of how to read architectural drawings, material specifications and/or take measurements on drawings using programs on AutoCAD or PDF based programs such as BlueBeam Revu is a plus

Knowledge: Understanding of workplace policies and procedures / Familiarity with team collaboration tools and techniques.

Skills: Strong time management and organizational skills

The ideal candidate would typically have:

BS/BA degree in product, business management, design, and/or other relevant discipline related to the requirements of the position. MBA or advanced degree preferred. PM Certification preferred.

5+ years industry related experience and/or equivalent experiences (program management relating to product, design, hospitality, etc.) in other adjacent industries.

Ability to work across a wide range of stakeholders and subject matter experts in a highly complex and dynamic environment

Essential Experience Required:

Strong communications, ability to present confidently to senior leadership and cross functionals.

Able to synthesize results into concise written findings, create presentations, and communicate the strategic implications.

Self‑motivated and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced culture.

Strong critical thinking skills

Travel: Less than 25% with shipboard travel likely

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate‑controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Physical Demands:Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

This is a hybrid position, based in our Miami office. Candidates must be comfortable coming into the office 4 days/week (currently Monday‑Thursday).
