Job summary

Munich Re Specialty - North America seeks a Product Development Business Partner to support US underwriting teams by drafting and amending reinsurance contracts and coverage forms. You will collaborate with claims and underwriting, reporting to the Product Development Manager.

The role requires a JD and 10+ years in reinsurance/product development, with strong regulatory and collaborative skills. A broad range of benefits and a competitive salary are provided.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school is required.
• 10+ years advanced experience in reinsurance and primary insurance product development, claims or underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of product development processes and regulatory concepts.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review Reinsurance contract wordings to meet negotiated terms and guidelines.
• Develop and maintain coverage forms and endorsements for new and existing products.
• Monitor regulatory trends and industry developments impacting insurance and reinsurance.
• Support underwriters with contract terms, conditions and coverages.
• Provide product support and thought leadership for assigned business lines.
