Job description

Join the company defining what it means to be an Impact Lender! Mortgages are what we do, but that doesn't define who we are. In 2008, Movement disrupted the industry with the innovative 6-7-1 mortgage process. In 2023, we pioneered again, helping launch Impact Lending - a new category of lending. Any mortgage lender that commits at least 10% of its profits to helping the neighborhoods it serves is an Impact Lender.

At Movement, we are Impact Lenders. We give 40%-50% of our profits to making an impact in our communities. For us, purpose and people have always come before profit.

What You Need to Know
  • Leads the design, development, and implementation of new mortgage products and investor offerings from concept through post‑launch stabilization
  • Owns the end‑to‑end operational and system onboarding of new investors and products, serving as the primary project manager responsible for scope, timelines, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and implementation success.
  • Establishes project governance, defines key milestones, manages dependencies, and ensures alignment across all impacted business units throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of mortgage product documents, disclosures, fee testing practices, and secondary market requirements
  • Evaluates investor product offerings and competitor activity to inform product strategy and implementation approach
  • Identifies and drives enhancements to existing mortgage products to improve competitiveness, scalability, marketability, or profitability
  • Ensures all product offerings remain within investor standards, so loans maintain the highest level of liquidity and salability
  • Independently presents new product and investor onboarding initiatives to senior leadership, securing alignment and approval
  • Acts as the central point of coordination across Legal, Credit Risk, Compliance, Fair Lending, QC, Post‑Closing, Secondary Marketing, Technology, and other key partners throughout the product lifecycle
  • Proactively identifies operational, compliance, or system risks and leads cross‑functional resolution efforts
  • Facilitates cross-functional project meetings, documents decisions, drives action items to completion, and resolves obstacles that could impact launch timelines.
  • Identifies enhancements required for business processes, Loan Origination Systems, pricing engines, eligibility engines, and document vendor interfaces to support new or enhanced offerings
  • Applies and validates system updates for product setup and eligibility rules within the Loan Origination System
  • Partners with technology and operations teams to support testing, validation, and launch readiness
  • Provides post‑launch support, issue tracking, and continuous improvement recommendations
Project Management Expectations
  • Serves as project owner for multiple simultaneous product and investor onboarding initiatives
  • Develops and maintains detailed project plans, timelines, task assignments, and dependencies using structured project management or workflow software (e.g., Monday.com or comparable platforms)
  • Leads formal project intake, planning, implementation, testing, launch, and post‑implementation review activities.
  • Drives accountability across cross‑functional stakeholders and ensures deliverables are completed on schedule
  • Provides clear, consistent project status updates and escalates risks or delays as appropriate
  • Maintains centralized documentation and project artifacts to support transparency, auditability, and repeatability
  • Applies disciplined project execution practices to ensure initiatives move predictably from approval through production
What We Are Looking For
  • 7+ years of mortgage industry experience with strong expertise in program guidelines, investor requirements, and secondary market execution
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross‑functional projects with minimal oversight
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy, documentation quality, and regulatory discipline
  • Hands‑on experience working within project management systems or task‑based workflow platforms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort presenting to senior leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
