Job summary

A. O. Smith Corporation in Milwaukee is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our NAWT team. You will perform advanced engineering tasks under limited supervision, mentor design staff, and drive projects from concept through completion.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 3+ years of related experience, and familiarity with SAP and MRP. Lean Six Sigma, FMEA, and CAD tools (AutoCAD) are valued, with strong communication in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
3+ years of related work experience or training.
6 Sigma, FMEA experience a plus.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills; solves complex problems.
Experience leading Kaizen related or Continuous Improvement Activity.
Knowledge of SAP and MRP systems is beneficial.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, Power Point and AutoCAD.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Participate in industry groups.
Perform advanced engineering tasks under limited supervision.
Oversees all aspects of a significant engineering project, from start to finish, within budget.
Develops an action plan and estimates resources.
Prepares monthly reports detailing progress and costs for top management.
Lead the design group during product development and conduct project meetings.
