Intralox, a division of Laitram LLC, is seeking a mechanical/electromechanical design engineer with 6+ years of experience to lead early prototypes, validate equipment concepts, and outline technical feasibility using market research and product development.
You will collaborate with operations, engineering, sales, product management and marketing, manage multiple projects, and ensure timely handoffs to development while balancing cost, quality and time-to-market.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate extreme ownership. While we are looking for technical acumen, the candidate would be categorized as a technical generalist. With the ability to balance technical knowledge, collaboration, and market insight.
As a member of a small team, you will be enabled to leverage company resources, validate new automated equipment assumptions, and dive into customer problems. You will also be responsible for designing and developing early electromechanical prototypes to test technical limitations. Utilizing market research and product development you will be expected to outline technical feasibility in support or opposition of the new ideas and technologies. All team members are expected to produce a weekly report on progress and next steps.
