Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Product Development Engineer in Williamsburg, MI to drive concept-to-production development of composite and multi-component products. The role involves design, validation, and launch with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, production-ready solutions.

You will lead test plans, evaluate results, and implement design changes while ensuring reliability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness in a fast-paced automotive-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Plastics or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience developing composite assemblies or multi-component products.
• Experience integrating molded plastic components with purchased hardware.
• Knowledge of sealing systems and leak prevention, pressure-containing assemblies, environmental sealing.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, GD&T, engineering drawings, tolerance analysis, DFMEA and change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development projects from concept through production launch.
• Design composite and multi-component assemblies that are reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective.
• Support new product introductions while improving existing products for performance and quality.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Tooling, Purchasing, Operations, and suppliers.
