Job summary

Pamella Roland is seeking a Product Development Associate to manage day-to-day development and workflow for seasonal collections under the Design Director. You will coordinate timelines, samples, fittings, materials and cross-functional communication to support the creative vision.

This role demands strong organization, fashion development knowledge and the ability to drive progress from design through production in a fast-paced studio environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Development or related field.
  • 3–5 years of luxury womenswear, eveningwear or product development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, fabrics, trims and apparel development.
  • Experience coordinating fittings, samples, atelier workflow, vendors and seasonal development calendars.
  • Strong understanding of tech packs and BOMs.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day product development and workflow under the direction of the Design Director.
  • Maintain development calendars, coordinate priorities, fittings, samples and deadlines.
  • Coordinate prototype and development sample progress, review and follow-up.
  • Coordinate fabric, trim, lining and embellishment development and sourcing.
  • Oversee accuracy and completion of tech packs, BOMs and development documentation.
  • Participate in fittings and coordinate design and construction revisions.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding samples, materials, timelines and development needs.
  • Track design changes and approvals and communicate across teams.
  • Coordinate handoff of approved styles and development information to Production.

Job Summary:

Working under the direction of the Design Director, the Product Development Associate manages the day-to-day development and workflow for seasonal collections from initial design through handoff to Production. This role coordinates timelines, samples, fittings, materials, and cross-functional communication to support the execution of the Design Director's creative vision.

Essential Duties:
  • Manage day-to-day product development and workflow under the direction of the Design Director.
  • Maintain development calendars and coordinate priorities, fittings, samples and key deadlines.
  • Coordinate prototype and development sample progress, review and follow-up.
  • Coordinate fabric, trim, lining and embellishment development and sourcing.
  • Oversee the accuracy and completion of tech packs, Bills of Materials and development documentation.
  • Participate in fittings and coordinate design and construction revisions as directed by the Design Director.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding samples, materials, timelines and development needs.
  • Track design changes and approvals and ensure information is communicated across relevant teams.
  • Coordinate the handoff of approved styles and development information to Production.
Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Development or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant luxury womenswear, eveningwear or product development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, fabrics, trims and apparel development.
  • Experience coordinating fittings, samples, atelier workflow, vendors and seasonal development calendars.
  • Strong understanding of tech packs and BOMs.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during fittings, reviews and photoshoots.
  • Must be able to lift and move samples, fabric rolls and design materials up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional extended hours may be required during collection deadlines, fashion shows and market periods.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced studio environment.
Additional Details:

The role is a 3 month temporary position. M-F / 9-6 (some overtime around collection debut)
