Job summary

Amprod LLC is seeking a Product Designer to design and refine industrial equipment, including ASME pressure vessels, for manufacturing needs. You will turn customer requirements into build-ready models, drawings, and engineering docs through close collaboration.

The role blends 3D CAD work with documentation and design improvements, offering opportunities to contribute to quality and cost reductions while aligning with internal standards and customer specs.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering/Design (preferred) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency with 3D modeling software (preferred: Autodesk Inventor)
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (example given: Syteline)
  • Preferred: experience designing ASME pressure vessels
  • Preferred: 2+ years industrial mechanical engineering/design experience
  • Strong collaboration and professional communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Design ASME pressure vessels, tanks, agitators, platforms, ladders, and other related equipment using 3D CAD modeling (preferred: Autodesk Inventor)
  • Update existing production designs to align with customer specifications and internal standards
  • Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs), customer drawings, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation
  • Support design improvements aimed at enhancing quality and reducing cost
  • Assist with additional engineering tasks as assigned

Job description

Amprod LLC is seeking a Product Designer to support the design of custom stainless-steel equipment built for demanding manufacturing needs. This onsite role at Watson Metal Masters centers on turning customer requirements into build-ready models, drawings, and engineering documentation through close cross-functional collaboration.

You will be responsible for producing and refining designs for industrial equipment, including ASME pressure components and related systems. The position blends 3D CAD work with documentation and design improvement efforts, with opportunities to contribute to quality and cost improvements.

What you'll do
  • Design ASME pressure vessels, tanks, agitators, platforms, ladders, and other related equipment using 3D CAD modeling (preferred: Autodesk Inventor)
  • Update existing production designs to align with customer specifications and internal standards
  • Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs), customer drawings, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation
