Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a senior Product Designer to define platform-level experience architecture across navigation, permissions, and reusable UI patterns. You will lead cross-product workflows from onboarding to expansion, partnering with Product and Engineering to align UX with system models and platform capabilities.

You’ll collaborate with the Design System team, explore AI-enabled approaches, and raise design quality while simplifying complex tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product design experience, or equivalent seniority, with a track record of leading complex, high-impact product work.
• Strong systems thinking and information architecture skills, with experience designing workflow-heavy products or tools with meaningful complexity.
• Proven ability to define scalable experience models, frameworks, and patterns that work across multiple products, teams, or customer journeys.
• Excellent product judgment, including the ability to simplify complexity while balancing usability, flexibility, and technical constraints.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and influence, with the ability to drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Design, and other stakeholders.
• Comfort working with complex system models, including permissions, configuration, object relationships, states, dependencies, and edge cases.
• Experience partnering closely with Design System teams and understanding the relationship between product architecture and reusable UI foundations.
• Adaptable and forward-looking in how design gets done, with meaningful use of emerging technologies such as AI, prototyping, and implementation tools to improve speed and quality.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and proactively identifying opportunities beyond a single feature or product area.
• B2B or enterprise experience is a plus, but not required; we care more about the complexity of the product and workflows they’ve designed.

The base salary range for this role is $182,000 - $230,000 per year.

Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package. You may also be eligible for equity awards and an annual performance-based bonus.
