Job summary

Nash is seeking a Product Designer to join the intersection of UX and design engineering. You’ll craft dense, real-time interfaces for dispatchers, ops managers, and drivers, shipping prototypes with engineering teams.

You’ll collaborate with sales to gather customer needs, contribute to the design system, and help shape an agentic AI‑native product experience that moves quickly and ships early.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product / UX design experience with shipped work in complex products.
  • Proven B2B product experience — complex workflows, professional users, data‑dense interfaces
  • Strong discovery skills: you get to the real customer problem quickly and can show how research shaped your decisions
  • Component-based thinking: atomic design, modern web patterns for web apps, understanding frontend mapping
  • Technical fluency — comfortable working with engineers, reading a design token file
  • Active daily use of LLMs and AI prototyping tools as part of your design workflow
  • Bias for fast iteration: ship multiple rough rounds rather than one polished big‑bang
  • Clear communication in English; comfortable presenting to clients; adaptable to evidence

Responsibilities

  • Discover and validate customer needs — interviews, feedback analysis, synthesis into design decisions
  • Design dense, operational web UI: dispatch workspaces, routing, agents, order management, real-time views, data visualization
  • Create concepts and prototypes rapidly — in Figma or in code, using AI tools as a core part of your workflow
  • Prepare and run client-facing demos; present, persuade, and defend design decisions with stakeholders
  • Contribute to and evolve our design system (components, tokens, variables)
  • Drive the agentic AI approach in the product experience — make AI-first workflows feel native for logistics operators
  • Work day‑to‑day inside engineering teams: refine scope, resolve feasibility trade-offs, keep quality high through implementation

Job description

About Nash

Nash powers logistics infrastructure for major commerce brands including Walmart, Urban Outfitters, and 7-Eleven, plus platforms like Shopify and Toast. We unify decisioning, execution, and capacity into a programmable platform for real-time, AI-native logistics orchestration across couriers, fleets, gig workers, and autonomous systems.

Nash was founded in 2021 by Mahmoud Ghulman and Aziz Alghunaim. We are backed by Y Combinator, a16z, OpenAI, and other leading investors, and headquartered in San Francisco.

About The Role

This is not a classic "make it pretty" design role. We're looking for a Product Designer at the intersection of UX and design engineering — someone who deeply understands users and discovers customer needs with ease, but is also technical enough to think in components, speak the language of engineers, and ship a working prototype instead of a static mock when that's the fastest path to an answer.

You’ll design the tools dispatchers, ops managers, and drivers rely on every day — dense, real-time, operational interfaces — and help define what an agentic-AI-native logistics product feels like.

  • ~70% web application, ~30% mobile

  • Optimized for speed: fast progress, rapid iteration, short concept-to-validation loops

  • Embedded with engineering teams and sales — you design with developers, and partner with sales to gather first‑hand customer needs and bring them back into the product

  • Process mindset: Define Build Test Design Ship — we validate real, working software early, instead of the classic define → design → build → test → ship (the old double diamond)

  • Small design team, high ownership, direct access and customers/users.

What You'll Do
  • Discover and validate customer needs — interviews, feedback analysis, synthesis into design decisions

  • Design dense, operational web UI: dispatch workspaces, routing, agents, order management, real-time views, data visualization

  • Create concepts and prototypes rapidly — in Figma or in code, using AI tools (Claude, Cursor, v0, Figma Make) as a core part of your workflow

  • Prepare and run client-facing demos; present, persuade, and defend design decisions with stakeholders

  • Contribute to and evolve our design system (components, tokens, variables)

  • Drive the agentic AI approach in the product experience — make AI-first workflows feel native for logistics operators

  • Work day‑to‑day inside engineering teams: refine scope, resolve feasibility trade‑offs, keep quality high through implementation

What We're Looking For
  • 7+ years of product / UX design experience with shipped work in complex products

  • Proven B2B product experience — complex workflows, professional users, data‑dense interfaces

  • Strong discovery skills: you get to the real customer problem quickly and can show how research shaped your decisions

  • Component-based thinking: atomic design, modern web patterns for web applications, understanding of how design maps to frontend implementation

  • Technical fluency — comfortable working directly with engineers, understanding constraints, reading a design token file

  • Active, daily use of LLMs and AI prototyping tools as part of your design workflow

  • Bias for fast iteration: you'd rather ship three rough rounds than one polished big‑bang

  • Clear communication in English; comfortable presenting to clients; adaptable to evidence

Nice-to-Haves
  • Design systems depth: tokens, variables, theming, Figma component architecture

  • Design engineering / prototyping in code: React, Tailwind, or AI tools (v0, Cursor, Claude)

  • Experience with logistics, supply chain, or ops tooling

  • Experience designing agentic AI / LLM-powered product experiences

  • Mobile design experience (iOS / Android patterns)

More about Nash

Nash is the platform that powers modern logistics.

Commerce has inverted. For decades, customers came to where products and services were. Now products and services come to them, on their terms, in real time. That shift has turned every company into a logistics company, even though almost none of them were built to be one. Couriers, fleets, gig workers, parcel carriers, in‑store labor, and increasingly autonomous systems all have to be coordinated in real time, against tighter windows and rising expectations, with hard‑fought customer trust on the line.

Nash unifies decisioning, execution, and capacity into a single programmable platform. Real‑time, AI‑native intelligence determines what should happen, operational control executes it, and the platform dynamically orchestrates capacity from any source: a company's own fleets, partners, or the Nash delivery network. Whether a job involves a courier, a gig driver, an internal fleet, a store employee, a technician, or an autonomous vehicle, Nash selects the right resource and manages execution through completion.

We power delivery and logistics for some of the most recognizable brands in commerce, including Walmart, Urban Outfitters, 7‑Eleven, and Woolworths, alongside platforms like Shopify and Toast. Over the next decade, logistics will become as foundational to commerce as payments, cloud, and connectivity. Nash is the platform that powers it.

Nash was founded in 2021 by Mahmoud Ghulman (2x Founder, MIT) and Aziz Alghunaim (2x Founder, 2x YC, Ex‑Palantir, MIT) and is backed by Y Combinator, a16z, and other top investors. We are headquartered in San Francisco.
