Job summary

Meta is seeking a Product Designer to shape innovative experiences that help people connect, build communities and grow businesses. You’ll contribute across product design, interaction and visual design, from brainstorming to pixel-perfect execution, collaborating with product and executive partners to influence strategy.

You’ll lead end-to-end design initiatives for large, ambiguous projects, mentor peers, and partner with PMs, engineers and researchers to deliver standout experiences for

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, CS, or related field.
• 6+ years designing complex software products end-to-end with focus on UX, interaction, and visuals.
• Experience conducting complex research studies and driving growth through design-led innovation.
• Experience leading end-to-end development with cross-functional teams and roadmaps.
• Expertise in advanced prototyping techniques and functional prototypes.

Product Designer Responsibilities:

1. Leads and delivers design projects of large and/or ambiguous scope
2. Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our 2 billion+ users
3. Design flows and experiences that simplify and distill down complex actions into usable interfaces
4. Design new experiences or layouts that evolve and define visual systems
5. Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of FB products
6. Give and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually raise our bar for quality, while also taking on mentorship
7. Lead a partnership with product managers, engineers, researchers and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch

1. Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field
2. 6+ years of experience designing complex software products, end to end, with a focus on user experience, interaction, and visual design that meet business objectives
3. Experience conducting complex research studies and drives business growth through design-led innovation
4. Experience leading end-to-end development efforts, drives progress with Cross Functional Partner (XFN) teams, develops design roadmaps, and makes high-impact decisions balancing user needs with business growth objectives
5. Expertise in advanced prototyping techniques, such as creating functional prototypes or using emerging technologies

1. Experience showcasing your end-to-end design process across multiple projects, that include interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, and high-fidelity prototypes
2. Experience connecting your work with other related initiatives across the company while driving collaboration
3. Proven leadership in non-product dimensions that have made a team stronger and positively impacted the work environment
4. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
5. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
6. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

Public Compensation:

$170,000/year to $236,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
