Job summary

The ACLU seeks a Graduate Product Design intern in the Technology and Analytics Department of the ACLU’s National office in New York City. This internship can be full-time or part-time, remote or hybrid, and applicants must be matriculated graduate students and based in the U.S.

for the entire duration of the internship. You will collaborate with a cross-functional group of Designers, Product Managers and Engineers to research, prototype, and deliver compelling digital experiences that advance

Qualifications

• Portfolio showcasing relevant digital product design work.
• Systems-first mindset to transform complex problems into scalable UX features.
• Strong UX/UI design skills and accessibility best practices.
• Excellent collaboration and presentation abilities.
• Familiarity with Design Systems.
• Experience designing web and mobile user-centered experiences.
• Ability to create low and high-fidelity designs and user flows in Figma.
• Prototyping in Figma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual/interaction designs for web and mobile.
• Research feedback from constituents to improve products.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers.
• Participate in QA testing including accessibility checks.
• Embed equity, inclusion, and belonging in all work.
