Job summary

TikTok is seeking a product design intern to collaborate with our UED Monetization team. You will collect user feedback, develop empathy for users, and work cross‑functionally with design, product, and marketing to meet business needs.

• Support the end-to-end design of internal tools and platforms for TikTok global employees.
• Own every aspect of a product's design from solving the core user challenge to shipping a pixel-perfect UI.
• Create and test rough prototypes early in the design process to build confidence in a solution.
• Design high-fidelity UI and UX specs to clearly communicate requirements to engineers.

Responsibilities

As the window of TikTok's business services, our TikTok UED Monetization team aims to enable clients to effortlessly connect with audiences and maximize brand potential. We want to ease and inspire clients to achieve their goals, explore more possibilities, and create value with TikTok. As a product design intern, you will be able to utilize mixed methods to collect user feedback, create a deep understanding and empathy for our customers, and work cross‑functionally with design, product, and marketing teams to meet business needs.

Our core design team includes researchers, product designers, and UX writers who are passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. We work with collaborative cross‑functional teams to solve complex challenges and craft experiences that highlight our products’ unique capabilities and personalities.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship. Our internship program offers students hands‑on experience, industry exposure, and opportunities to apply their knowledge to real‑world challenges while building a strong foundation for personal and professional growth.

Interns will gain practical experience, explore potential career paths, and participate in social events, learning programs, and development workshops alongside industry professionals.

In This Role, You Will

• Own every aspect of a product's design, from solving the core user challenge to shipping a well‑tested and pixel‑perfect UI.


• Create and test rough prototypes early in the design process to create confidence in a solution.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Undergraduate in HCI or a related design discipline.


• Experienced in designing and shipping end‑to‑end products.

• Must be able to commit to a 12‑week full‑time work period during Summer 2027.

• Interacting and occasionally having unsupervised contact with internal/external clients and/or colleagues.


• Appropriately handling and managing confidential information including proprietary and trade secret information and access to information technology systems.

• The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $30- $30.
