Job summary

SharkNinja is seeking a Product Design Engineer II — Motorized in Needham, MA. You will own mechanical design from concept through production launch within a global cross‑functional team, balancing performance, quality, cost, and manufacturability.

You’ll work closely with Design, Electrical, Software, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams in the US, UK, and China, driving robust, manufacturable solutions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Product Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Design Engineering.
• Mechanical or product design experience in a New Product Development environment.
• Strong command of plastics, manufacturing processes, and DFMA principles.
• Track record taking products through lifecycle stages, from concept to production.
• High proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, or comparable CAD.
• Experience planning and executing verification and validation activities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a structured engineering approach.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies across the full product development lifecycle.
• Own engineering deliverables from concept refinement through detailed design, validation, and production release.
• Build robust, manufacturable designs grounded in engineering principles and DFMA.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, specifications and product documentation.
• Run engineering analysis, tolerance assessments, risk evaluations, and trade‑off studies.
• Plan, build, and test prototypes to validate performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Partner with Design, Electrical, Software, Quality, and Manufacturing to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support supplier engagement and manufacturing development for successful industrialization.
• Lead root cause investigations and fixes for technical challenges across development and testing.
• Support product verification, validation, and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and share engineering best practices.

Product Design Engineer II — Motorized

Turn concepts into products that reach millions of people. As a Product Design Engineer II on our New Product Development team, you'll own mechanical design from concept through production launch — balancing performance, quality, cost, and manufacturability at every step.

You'll work from our Needham office as part of a global cross-functional team, partnering daily with Design, Product Development, Electrical Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain colleagues in the UK and China. If you like hard technical problems, driving execution, and seeing your work land in consumers' hands, this is that role.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies across the full product development lifecycle.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is displayed below. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
