You will work with Industrial Design, Electrical, Antenna, Reliability, and Marketing to define and realize the next generation of wearable devices. You will lead multi‑disciplinary design efforts, build prototypes for validation, perform failure analysis, and partner with vendors in Asia and internal teams to ship high‑quality parts across size and materials.

Be an integral part of a small and visible team of world‑class Mechanical Engineers making Apple’s first wearable product line. As a member of the Watch design team, you will build the next generation of the world’s most advanced wearable device. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams like Industrial Design, Electrical Engineering, Antenna, Reliability, Sensors, Environmental, and Marketing to bring future products to life. The Watch Product Design team is responsible for all of the mechanical parts that make up the Watch in all sizes and materials.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about engineering and thrives on innovation to help build the next generation of the world’s most innovative mobile devices. This role is for someone with strong mechanical design skills, an ability to lead projects in a multi‑functional setting, and excellent communication skills with both vendors within Asia and internal teams at Apple. The role will require the ability to deliver outstanding design solutions while balancing multiple priorities on demanding schedules. You will be responsible for building prototypes for design validation and driving failure analysis.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,300 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
