  • Conceptualize, design, and build prototypes that quickly validate ideas
  • Participate in design reviews, clearly communicating design decisions, technical analysis, and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Build, test, troubleshoot, and iterate prototypes to identify issues and improve product performance, reliability, and user experience
  • Work with manufacturing and vendor partners to iterate designs and support the transition from prototype to production
Essential Qualifications
  • Recently completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Product Design Engineering, or a related technical field

  • Strong understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to apply engineering fundamentals to open-ended design challenges
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and present work effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary product development environment
Preferred Skills
  • Experience developing consumer products through internships, academic projects, research, personal projects, or professional experience
  • Knowledge of a variety of materials and scalable manufacturing processes, such as injection molding, machining, sheet metal, casting, or additive manufacturing
  • Experience with machine tools and prototyping equipment, such as 3D printers, laser cutters, mills, and lathes
