Job summary

Google is seeking a Product Deployment Engineer for gTech in Sunnyvale, CA. You will lead the technical relationship with large advertising clients and product partners, coordinating cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales, and Product Management to deliver advanced solutions.

You will develop, test, and automate tools, balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, and guide projects from concept to execution within Google's advertising platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
  • Professional certification in systems architecture, cloud platforms, business analysis, or agile methodologies.
  • 5 years of experience in technical consulting, product management, or solution architecture in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience building proof-of-concepts with web/scripting technologies (JavaScript, Python) and SQL databases.
  • Experience with advertising technologies, APIs, and data integration.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with executive stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
  • Provide feedback on PRDs and design documents, and lead PRDs around developer experience.
  • Review PRDs to ensure all customer/partner and internal needs are met.
  • Scale existing or create repeatable solutions and document them.
  • Drive solution code development with internal and external developers/users/partners.

Product Deployment Engineer, gTech

Locations: Sunnyvale, CA, USA; New York, NY, USA

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Professional certification in systems architecture, Cloud Computing Platform, business analysis, or agile methodologies (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Scrum Product Owner).
  • 5 years of experience in technical consulting, product management, or solution architecture and project management in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience in building proof-of-concepts using web/scripting technologies (e.g., JavaScript, Python, etc.) and SQL databases.
  • Experience with advertising technologies, APIs, and data integration.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a technical field.
  • Experience in an online advertising/customer growth role and familiarity with the ad serving industry and internet technologies.
  • Practical experience configuring, querying, or troubleshooting CRM architectures (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Klaviyo, or custom internal backends).
  • Ability to absorb complex technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience effectively.
  • Demonstrated coding ability with Java or Python, and database knowledge with the ability to construct complex SQL queries.
  • Ability to work independently and to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with effective problem-solving, analytical and project management skills.

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with executive stakeholders in customer or partner organizations to deliver or manage quality technical solutions and services.
  • Provide feedback on product requirement documents (PRDs) and design documents, may author or actively lead PRDs, particularly around the developer experience.
  • Review product requirement documents (PRDs) to record product specifications, validate PRDs to ensure customer/partner and internal needs are met.
  • Scale existing or create repeatable solutions (e.g., best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code) and ensure effective documentation of repeatable solutions.
  • Drive solution code development in collaboration with internal or external developers/users/partners/clients/stakeholders (as needed).
