Overview: The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. Acquires and maintains knowledge of products represented. Prepares, serves, and breaks down product, equipment, and supplies. Intercepts consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner. Maintains an overall professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.

Responsibilities:

  • Possesses the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
  • Proactively intercepts, engages, interacts, and sells product to consumers positively.
  • Effectively communicates features and benefits of the products.
  • Prepares and serves food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
  • Maintains a clean, sterile, and safe work station using cleaning chemicals.
  • Maintains a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
  • Sets up and prepares the Event Table for execution.
  • Achieves 100% execution on assigned work.
  • Assists with client visit preparations and completes audit corrections.
  • Builds rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
  • Completes expense reports as per company policy.
  • Submits all online requirements on the same day as Event execution.
  • Accesses the internet, navigates company systems, uses Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Adobe PDF forms.

This role is not expected to exceed 25 hours per week, but may change based on business needs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; 1-3 months’ related experience or training preferred.
  • Proficient in using personal computers or mobile devices with applications and internal systems.
  • Local Food handler permit may be required.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, talking, hearing, reading instructions, stooping, kneeling, squatting, climbing, balancing, lifting up to 25 pounds (up to 50 pounds occasionally), pushing/pulling carts, and using kitchen appliances.
  • No supervisory responsibilities.
  • Work environment is retail store with limited travel.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and grooming.
  • English is primary; bilingual skills may be required.
