Gemini is seeking a Product Counsel to help navigate the regulatory challenges of emerging products and markets. You will support digital asset exchange, credit card and payments, broker‑dealer, prediction markets, and institutional lines through licensing campaigns and new product launches.

The Legal department at Gemini applies the legacy of law to the future of markets and digital assets, tackling complex applications of the current legal system to the cryptocurrency and financial markets. You will cover the digital asset exchange, credit card program, broker‑dealer, prediction markets, and institutional/commercial matters, operating across the full spectrum of financial services regulation, not just crypto. Legal plays a critical role in guiding innovation, driving value for the business, and upholding our core tenets of security, compliance, and trust for our customers.
As Product Counsel you will leverage breadth and depth of experience at a law firm or in‑house to help Gemini tackle the complex legal challenges of emerging products and markets. You will support digital asset exchange, credit card and payments, broker‑dealer, prediction markets, and institutional business lines through licensing campaigns, new product launches, and evolving regulatory landscapes. You will be the point person on regulatory strategy across payments, broker‑dealer operations, prediction markets, and other products.
The base salary range for this role is between $162,500 and $250,000 in the State of New York. This range does not include our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
In the United States, we offer a hybrid work approach at our hub offices, balancing the benefits of in‑person collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. Expectations may vary by location and role; candidates are encouraged to connect with their recruiter to learn more about the specific policy for the role. Employees who do not live near one of our hubs are part of our remote workforce.
