Job summary

David Yurman Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Product Costing & Analytics Analyst in New York, hybrid work. The role focuses on validating cost components, analyzing pricing and margins, and maintaining costing data across development and production lifecycles.

You will partner with Product Development, Procurement and Vendors, use Excel, PLM, and reporting tools to ensure data integrity and actionable cost insights that support profitability.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel and data analysis for costing, pricing, and margins.
• Experience with BOMs, POs, invoices, and cost documentation.
• Familiarity with PLM, Sigma, Jira or similar systems is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal English communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate costing information (cost sheets, BOMs, PO, invoices) for accuracy.
• Investigate price-change requests and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Perform variance analysis across costing stages to support margin visibility.
• Maintain costing data and reporting to aid decision-making.
• Communicate costing updates and actions to Product Development, Procurement, Merchandising, Production, and vendors.
• Prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This role is responsible for validating cost components, analyzing pricing and margin variances, maintaining costing data within key systems, and partnering with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure product costs are complete, consistent, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with complex data, cost sheets, BOMs, purchase orders, invoices, and reporting tools.ResponsibilitiesReview, validate, and analyze product costing information, including cost sheets, BOMs, purchase orders, invoices, and supporting documentation, to ensure accuracy and completeness.Evaluate daily purchase order price change requests, investigate discrepancies, and partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve pricing or documentation issues.Perform variance analysis between show costing, development costing, final production costing, and post-production updates to support margin visibility and profitability maintenance.Maintain and update costing data, cost charts, and related reporting to support accurate business analysis and decision-making.Use Excel, Sigma, PLM, Qiwk reports, Jira, and other systems to maintain accurate data, generate reporting, and identify inconsistencies in costing information.Develop a strong understanding of DY jewelry components, materials, labor, finishing instructions, and product construction to accurately evaluate cost structures.Conduct thorough self-review of calculations, pricing inputs, and supporting details prior to submission to ensure high data integrity.Communicate costing updates, discrepancies, and required actions clearly to cross-functional partners, including Product Development, Procurement, Merchandising, Production, and vendors.Continuously prioritize competing tasks, monitor deadlines, and adjust focus as business needs evolve while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.QualificationsStrong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to review high-volume costing, pricing, BOM, PO, and invoice data for accuracy, gaps, and inconsistencies.Advanced Excel skills, including large datasets, formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and analytical reporting.Proactive problem solver with sound judgment and the ability to validate information, question unusual cost changes, resolve discrepancies, and improve data accuracy.Proven ability to work proactively and independently while contributing as a collaborative team partnerHighly organized communicator able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, summarize findings, and follow up effectively with internal teams and vendors.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with effective interpersonal skills.Experience with PLM, Sigma, Qiwk, Jira, or similar product lifecycle/reporting systems preferred; knowledge of jewelry materials, components, production processes, or product costing a plus.Education: Bachelor’s DegreeLocation: New York, NYWorking Mode: HybridEstimate Salary Range: $80k – 90kBase pay is one component of David Yurman’s total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at David YurmanAs a company founded by artists, David Yurman champions self-expression in everything we do.
