Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Product Development Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support to the Product Development/Sourcing team from concept through commercialization. The role coordinates product data, manages samples, maintains development timelines, and ensures accuracy of information in company systems.

You will coordinate samples from vendors, support PLM setup, track shipments, schedule meetings, process invoices, and assist with department projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Product Development, Design or Business.
  • Entry-level experience acceptable.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Requests, receives, tracks, logs and organizes product samples from vendors/factories; coordinates distribution to internal stakeholders.
  • Supports product setup in PLM, including style descriptions, attributes, images, specifications, and launch information for cross-functional teams.
  • Collects international packages daily for shipments, tracks, and notifies parties of shipments and tracking information.
  • Schedules Vendor/Supplier meetings, prepares reports, maintains files, and supports departmental projects/presentations.
  • Reviews and submits invoices for management approval; tracks payments and wire transfers.
  • Orders and maintains department supplies weekly; requests samples from DC as needed for reviews.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Product Development Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Product Development/Sourcing team throughout the product lifecycle, from concept through commercialization. This role is responsible for coordinating product data, managing samples, maintaining development timelines, supporting vendor communications, and ensuring the accuracy of product information within company systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Product Sample - requests, receives, tracks, logs and organizes product samples from vendors/factories. Coordinates sample distribution to internal stakeholders. Centric/PLM - helps support product teams on systematic product/style setup, inclusive of style descriptions, product attributes, product images, specifications, assortment details, and launch information required by cross‑functional teams. Collects all international packages to be sent, each day, to coordinate and consolidate shipments. This includes counter development samples, SIP’s and any documentation needed to be sent overseas. Communicates with appropriate parties notifying them of samples/documents being shipped, inclusive of tracking information. Provides administrative support including scheduling Vendor/Supplier meetings, coordinating calendars, preparing reports, maintaining files, and supporting departmental projects/presentations. Responsible for reviewing and submitting all invoices within the department, for management approval. This includes invoices for temporary help, fit models, Design contractors, and quality invoices for testing. Tracks payment of invoices and wire transfers. Orders and maintains department supplies on a weekly basis. Request samples from DC as needed for product review or meetings. All other duties as assigned

Identifies process improvement opportunities and recommends solutions. Exercises independent judgment in coordinating activities, resolving routine issues, and escalating concerns when appropriate. Makes recommendations that support product development processes, project execution, and operational efficiency.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Design or Business Experience: Entry level
