Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey seeks a seasoned product professional to design, develop and enhance health insurance products across market segments, driving strategic initiatives and lifecycle management.

You will lead cross-functional teams, conduct market research, evaluate new offerings, and support consumerism-focused plans, with local travel up to the tri-state area.

Qualifications

• Requires HS Diploma or GED; Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years experience in product development, marketing, and health/consumerism.
• Experience in healthcare industry and/or healthcare product development.

Responsibilities

When our employees bring their best and succeed, the Company succeeds.About the RoleThis position is responsible for the design, development and enhancement of new and existing products across several market segments for Horizon BCBSNJ that support the companys corporate goals.What You'll DoManages the design, development and enhancement of new and existing products across several market segments for the enterprise.Participates in the successful implementation and management of products, serving as the product Subject Matter Expert (SME).Performs (or facilitates with internal resources) research on refining existing products and evaluating potential new products for the enterprise.Builds and manages relationships with internal staff (Sales/Account Management, Healthcare Management, Service, Underwriting, Actuarial and Information Technology) and external parties to develop product strategies and shape current product positioning.Manages and performs research and analysis on product performance, utilization and profitability to determine proper intervention and corrective actions when necessary.Analyzes and monitors competition to assure best product positioning and development.Supports information needs of cross-functional teams, including RFPs, that guide and support Horizons strategic mission, goals and initiatives.Performs product maintenance in support of managing the product portfolio.Acts as a resource to the product development staff.Performs other duties as assigned by management.Addendum - ConsumerismGive presentations and demonstrations of Consumerism products to Horizon employees, consultants/brokers, employer groups and members.Develop and successfully implement plans for increased sales, utilization and retention of Consumerism Suite (group and member level).What You BringEducation/ExperienceRequires HS Diploma or GED.Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred.Requires minimum of five (5) years experience in product development, marketing, marketing technology, health and wellness (Consumerism only)Requires minimum of five (5) years experience in healthcare industry and/or healthcare product development.
