Job summary

Springs Window Fashions is seeking a Business Configuration Specialist (Modeler) to translate customer design choices into configurable window coverings, collaborating with product management, engineering, IT and operations to ensure rules are clear, validated and production-ready.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent, 5+ years in manufacturing, strong analytical and written/spoken communication skills, and experience with product configuration systems such as

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to interpret product specifications, BOM structures, and engineering requirements.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage complex rule sets.
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with structured data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain product configuration models using internal tools.
  • Translate business and engineering requirements into rules, validations, option logic, segment structures, and dynamic behavior.
  • Configure model options, families, select tables, matrices, color lists, and dependent attributes for new and existing products.
  • Maintain dynamic SKU or single-SKU logic depending on product strategy.
  • Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and internal customers to document requirements.
  • Support manufacturing, purchasing, and customer service by ensuring configuration outputs match operational needs and production flows.
  • Participate in product introduction planning and model setup for new launches (such as Roman shades, awnings, power shades, etc.).
  • Conduct testing to ensure correct rule execution, error handling, and compatibility logic.
  • Troubleshoot issues in production ordering or manufacturing systems related to configuration defects.
  • Validate configuration lists, matrices, retrieval tables, BOM-related logic, and display behavior for end‑users.
  • Create and maintain documentation for configuration rules, logic flows, product behavior, and change logs.
