Job summary

MillerKnoll is seeking a Product Configuration Analyst (Finance) to convert functional requirements into technical design rules in an OO configuration system. You will apply configuration standards and coordinate with engineering, manufacturing and marketing.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's in a technical field and at least 5 years as an associate configuration modeler, with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and knowledge of engineering data, BOMs, routings and item masters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related technical field (computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years as an associate configuration modeler or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with rules within and object-oriented configuration systems.
  • Clear understanding of engineering data and documentation requirements in a engineering and manufacturing environment. Knowledge of blueprints, item masters, bill of materials, routings and marketing databases.
  • Understanding of Engineering Change Management systems and manufacturing systems.
  • Well-developed conceptual, analytical and communication skills. Must be a resourceful problem solver.

Responsibilities

  • Apply configuration standards that result in accurate, timely and easily understood models.
  • Assist in technical design required to convert the engineering and manufacturing requirements for product configuration into rules within an object- oriented configuration system.
  • Construct and maintain models using rules in an object-oriented configuration system Coordinate activities with related product database functions.
  • Supports the New Product Commercialization process, through various departments and product development to implement rule changes on new and existing products.
  • Will be given the responsibility to manage medium scale modeling projects.
  • Work with marketing, engineering and manufacturing to structure configuration models of Herman Miller product offering and related information.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested.

The primary responsibility is to assist in converting functional requirements of Herman Miller product into a technical design concept and structure using rules within an object-oriented configuration system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Apply configuration standards that result in accurate, timely and easily understood models.
  • Assist in technical design required to convert the engineering and manufacturing requirements for product configuration into rules within an object- oriented configuration system.

Compensation range for this role is $70,400.00 - $88,000.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
