Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate responses to customer requests for product and regulatory compliance information.
• Prepare and submit declarations, certifications and related documentation.
• Coordinate reporting for PFAS, RoHS, REACH/SVHC, CMRT, TSCA, Prop 65, IMDS and other requirements.
• Maintain records and monitor submission deadlines across teams.
• Work with vendors to collect required information; escalate when needed.
• Maintain compliance records and ensure version control and retention.
• Support BOM data coordination with Engineering and other resources.

Job Summary: The Product Compliance Technician is responsible for coordinating and maintaining product and regulatory compliance information required by customers, and applicable regulations. This position serves as the primary coordinator for customer product compliance requests, including material declarations, regulatory questionnaires, and product-related certifications.

The position works closely with internal teams and external partners to gather, organize, validate, and submit required information. The position does not require an engineering background or previous regulatory experience ; however, the individual must be comfortable working with technical information, Bills of Materials (BOMs), supplier documentation, and customer requirements.

The Product Compliance Coordinator ensures compliance information is accurate, complete, current, properly documented, and submitted within required timelines.

1st Priority - Customer and Product Compliance Reporting

• Coordinate responses to customer requests for product and regulatory compliance information.
• Prepare and submit customer questionnaires, declarations, certifications, and related documentation
• Coordinate reporting related to requirements such as PFAS, RoHS, REACH/SVHC, Conflict Minerals/CMRT, Extended Minerals/EMRT, TSCA, CA Prop 65, IMDS, and other customer-specific material and product compliance requirements
• Monitor customer requests and submission deadlines.
• Maintain records of completed submissions and supporting documentation.
• Work with third party services and/or direct with vendors to collect required information to satisfy compliance requests
• Escalate questions requiring technical, legal, or regulatory interpretation to the appropriate internal resource.
• Support product compliance for UL, and ECE conformity of production

2nd Priority - Product and BOM Data Coordination

• Work with Engineering to obtain current Bills of Materials and product information needed for compliance reporting.
• Coordinate collection of material composition and product information from Engineering and other technical resources.
• Identify missing or inconsistent information and coordinate resolution with the appropriate department.
• Maintain and organize source of product compliance information to reduce duplication of effort.
• Support Engineering by handling the administrative and coordination aspects of compliance requests.

3rd Priority - Compliance Records Management and Monitoring

• Maintain accurate and organized product compliance records.
• Maintain compliance certifications, declarations, questionnaires, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure appropriate version control and retention of compliance records.
• Maintain customer compliance information in applicable systems and databases.
• Monitor changes to applicable product compliance requirements and customer reporting expectations.
• Identify changes that may affect company products or reporting requirements.
• Communicate potential impacts to Quality and appropriate cross-functional stakeholders.
• Coordinate updates to compliance documentation when requirements change.
• Escalate regulatory questions that require technical or legal interpretation.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Associate degree or 2 years in a bachelor's degree program - Engineering or Business Related (preferred)

Experience

• 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferred)
• 2-3 years' experience in a technician/technical role (Required)
