Job summary

Mount Sinai is seeking an Operations Associate to support Enterprise Business Development and Innovations by coordinating product implementations, onboarding new customers and partners, and ensuring smooth operational readiness within the Mount Sinai Health System.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation and onboarding of new products, customers, and partners from planning to launch.
• Ensure interoperability across Mount Sinai systems and clearly defined workflows.
• Maintain project plans, timelines, risks, and status updates; escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with access, scheduling, clinical operations, billing, IT, analytics, and finance to ensure operational readiness.
• Develop documentation: SOPs, training materials, readiness checklists, and transition plans.

We are looking for an Operations Associate to join our Team, focused on delivering great value and a best-in-class experience for our patients. In this role, support key stakeholders across Enterprise Business Development and Innovations by providing critical support functions to our customers, partnerships and growth initiatives, including closely collaborating with leaders across the Mount Sinai Health System.

Solution, Customer and Partnership Implementation

• Coordinate the implementation and onboarding of new products, customers, and partners, from planning through operational launch and stabilization.
• Support end-to-end integration and interoperability activities within the Mount Sinai ecosystem, helping ensure workflows, handoffs, and service expectations are clearly defined.
• Maintain project plans, workplans, timelines, risks, issues, decisions, and status updates; escal
• Partner with cross-functional teams to confirm operational readiness across areas such as access and scheduling, clinical operations, billing, finance, IT, analytics, marketing, and managed care.
• Develop and maintain implementation documentation, including process maps, standard operating procedures, training materials, readiness checklists, and transition plans.

Ongoing Operations & Improvement Support

• Support the day-to-day operations adjusting focus as team priorities and workload shift.
• Execute and monitor operational requirements associated with customer, service, and outcomes commitments.
• Coordinate revenue cycle activities, including claims processing, payment receipt, payment reconciliation, and payment distribution in partnership with Revenue Cycle and Finance.
• Triage and help resolve operational issues raised by customers, patients, partners, and internal teams; document root causes, owners, actions, and outcomes.
• Assess current-state workflows, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and help design future-state processes that improve reliability, scalability, and patient experience.
• Partner with Analytics, Finance, IT, and other teams to support accurate data collection, consistent definitions, and reliable performance reporting.
• Monitor key performance indicators and contractual requirements; identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for follow-up.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2 years of professional experience in a fast-paced work environment; experience in healthcare industry is a plus
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
• Experience with electronic medical records, Epic (preferred)

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72,473.00 - $108,709.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
