Position Summary

The Product Category Manager (PCM), Accessories is the business owner for BGE’s accessories, including cookware, accountable for commercial success and cross-functional alignment. This role plans and executes category strategy, chooses the right products to meet customer needs, and uses market insights to guide product decisions.

The PCM works closely with Engineering, Marketing, Revenue Growth, User Research, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Project Management, Legal, Vendors, and our manufacturing partners to ensure the category delivers against BGE’s broader portfolio and brand objectives.

The ideal candidate prioritizes quality and user experience, is analytically rigorous and empathetic to users, with the ability to make clear prioritization decisions and influence cross-functional stakeholders in a premium brand-focused environment. Success in this role will be measured by category sales growth, margin contribution, sell-through rates, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Essential functions of the role include:

• Strategy and Planning: Define and execute short- and long-term category strategy for the BGE accessories portfolio — including assortment lifecycle direction, target segment positioning, and growth levers — aligned to overall brand and portfolio goals.
• Customer and Market Focus: Develop deep understanding of end-consumer needs and competitive trends; translate consumer insight and market data into product requirements and business cases.
• Assortment and Product Portfolio: Prioritize which SKUs or innovations to pursue; set target costs, product claims, and performance requirements; and own tradeoff decisions across cost, quality, scope, and timeline.
• Profit and Loss Management: Set and manage pricing strategies for the accessories category to maximize sales volume, margin contribution, and overall category P&L, prior, during and post product launch.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with Product Delivery, Marketing, Revenue Growth, Supply Chain, and Finance to align on initiatives and campaigns, ensure on-time product availability, and deliver clear, unified launch plans.
• Data, Analytics, and Performance : Track category KPIs — including sales, margin, sell-through, and inventory turns — and use sales data, market research, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and drive improvement.

Required Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of experience in category management, product management, or an equivalent field.
• BA/BS (or equivalent experience) in the field of business administration, engineering or relevant field.
• Demonstrated ability to develop category strategy, manage a product portfolio, and drive data-informed business decisions.
• Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and follow through on commitments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint); experience with ERP or PLM systems, a plus.

Work Environment, Schedule and Physical Requirements

This role is on site based in Atlanta, GA. The typical schedule is Monday-Friday standard business hours, with occasional evening, weekend, or travel support as business needs require.
