Meta seeks a Data Scientist in California to shape analytics across our apps and business units. You will work with large, complex data sets to inform product decisions with cross-functional partners, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance.

Your work will drive impact at scale by translating data into actionable recommendations and roadmap priorities. You will develop hypotheses, run rigorous analyses, and communicate insights through data-driven stories to influence strategy,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics/Statistics or equivalent.
  • 4+ years in analytics with SQL, Python, and/or R (PhD adds 2+ years).
  • 4+ years solving analytical problems, defining metrics, and leading data-driven projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work with large and complex data sets to solve challenging problems using analytical approaches.
  • Apply quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and presentation of data to develop product strategies.
  • Identify and measure success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring key metrics.
  • Define and test opportunities to improve the product, guiding roadmaps with insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform and execute product strategy.
