Company

Federal Reserve Bank of New York

When you work at the New York Fed, you have the opportunity to make an impact in our communities and across the nation. Our mission-driven, curious, and dedicated colleagues apply their diverse perspectives and unique talents to support the strength of the U.S. economy and stability of the global financial system. At the Bank, we work full-time onsite with our teams. We believe being physically together allows us to draw on our collective strengths, while recognizing that the ability to work flexibly from time to time remains important to achieving our mission.

Our Unique Work:

The Markets Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York implements monetary policy on behalf of the Federal Reserve System, executes lender of last resort operations for depository institutions in the Second District, provides payments and custody services to foreign central banks and international monetary authorities, and serves as fiscal agent for the U.S. Treasury.

The Product, Strategy & Support team collaborates with Markets leadership to support business strategy development, define the strategic vision for the Markets Group's technology products, and ensure the portfolio of initiatives aligns with and delivers value against the Group's mission and objectives. The team ensures delivered functionality meets user needs, drives adoption that maximizes benefit, and ensures reliable support throughout the product lifecycle.

The Markets Transformation program is a multi-year Markets strategic effort evolving our trading and foreign customer banking business technology to effectively support monetary policy implementation, global financial stability, and the role of the US Dollar as the global reserve currency.

The Product Analyst for Markets Transformation supports an agile product team throughout the product lifecycle—from inception through retirement—performing industry, business, and technical analysis; contributing to product strategy, roadmaps, and prioritization; defining features and quality standards; and ensuring business value is realized through continuous user feedback.

  • Work with Product Owners and delivery squads to deliver products in the Post Trade & Custody space
  • Contribute to product vision and roadmaps with measurable outcomes; align with technology partners on Markets Transformation interdependencies
  • Develop messaging and communication artifacts on product strategy and delivery progress for stakeholder briefings
  • Define feature requirements, user stories, prioritization, and sequencing; coordinate product demos and user feedback sessions
  • Bring a structured approach to framing decision points for consistent evaluation across the program and with stakeholders
  • Design and execute UAT approach and scripts; provide oversight through deployment planning
  • Support planning for interim states and legacy product retirement; coordinate across product owners, architecture, vendors, operations, and business users
  • Drive adoption of product features; provide training, onboarding, and ongoing usage guidance
  • Monitor and communicate product-specific operational KPIs; surface insights for improvement
  • Promote agile behaviors and serve as a trusted advisor to Product Owners and Product Managers
The Unique Skill Sets We’re Looking For:
  • Product analyst experience with exposure to product ownership in financial services, including core transactional systems
  • Proven ability delivering in high-profile, complex stakeholder landscapes
  • Excel – Advanced proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
  • SQL – Able to write/interpret queries for data analysis and validation
  • AI Tools – Practical use of AI to improve efficiency and outcomes
  • Agile Business Analysis – Skilled at gathering requirements and documenting business processes within Agile frameworks
  • Cross-Functional Communication – Able to bridge requirements discussions between technical product squads and business stakeholders
  • UAT – Experience planning, coordinating, and executing user acceptance testing
  • Problem Solving – Strong analytical and critical thinking to identify root causes and recommend solutions
