Job summary

AlphaSense is seeking a Product Analyst for the Financial Data Team to contribute to the FinData product roadmap and translate goals into precise engineering requirements. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of the FinData product roadmap.

  • Define business logic and data relationships for reliable system behavior.
  • Query internal PostgreSQL/Snowflake/Athena databases for data insights and gaps.
  • Conduct data validation to support QA practices.
  • Propose design concepts to address technical challenges and optimize performance.
  • Develop and maintain product documentation for stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project prioritization and sequencing across teams.

About the Team:

The Financial Data organization is responsible for curating best-in-class structured data, both self-sourced and from third party content providers. The team was historically focused primarily on building a platform of 4,000+ fundamental financial models. The acquisition of Tegus by AlphaSense in 2024 advances our shared mission to empower professionals to make smarter decisions through AI-driven market intelligence. Together, AlphaSense and Tegus will accelerate growth, innovation, and content expansion and enable users to unearth even more comprehensive insights from thousands of content sets. Within this new environment, the Financial Data team is integrating our rich dataset into the platform alongside third party data to create a new final database that will offer our customers an unmatched level of accuracy, context, and flexibility to analyze and make investment decisions.

About the Role:

Join the Financial Data Team at AlphaSense as a Product Analyst. Successful candidates will demonstrate a highly analytical and problem-solving mindset, a clear interest in product management and financial markets, and strong communication skills.

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a highly analytical field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience, including internships, or academic project work.
  • Interest in building a career in product management and technology development.
  • Intellectual curiosity about financial data and capital markets intelligence.
  • Proven analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex problems into structured, data-driven solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently.
  • Foundational proficiency in SQL to navigate and query financial datasets is required; experience with advanced SQL techniques and Python for data. analysis or automation is considered a strong asset.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support development and execution of the FinData product roadmap.
  • Translate product goals into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams.
  • Develop mockups, wireframes, and schematics to communicate concepts and requirements.
  • Define business logic and relationships to maintain accurate and predictable system behaviors.
  • Query internal PostgreSQL/Snowflake/Athena databases to identify key data-related insights and/or high impact data gaps.
  • Conduct detailed screening and data validation to support robust quality-assurance practices.
  • Propose design concepts and enhancements to address technical challenges and optimize system performance.
  • Develop and maintain product documentation to ensure alignment between all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project prioritization, dependencies, and sequencing across teams and initiatives.
  • Support project planning activities, including timeline estimation, scheduling, and tracking.
  • Contribute to product and feature release documentation and communicate new functionality to internal stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, analysts and product managers.

For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below.

You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.

Base Compensation Range

$93,000 - $110,000 USD
