12-month contract (potential to extend or convert to full-time)
Location: Charlotte, NC
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days a week on site)
This Product Analyst role provides and leads analytical support to Product Owners or Product Managers engaged in the discovery, design, delivery, and enhancement of products.
This role is within the Renewables Integration Team and supports the development and on-going maintenance of the Interconnection Management System (IMS). The IMS serves as the software system for processing Interconnection requests for generators both utility-scale and small (e.g. rooftop solar) across our six regulated jurisdictions. This role will primarily focus on the Net Metering processes between Carolinas, Florida, and Midwest.
The team is currently in the last year of a large project initiative to replace the IMS across all six regulated jurisdictions with a vendor product called PowerClerk. This position will work on the project team supporting the delivery of the IMS project through the remainder of 2026. As the initial project wraps up, the Product Analyst will transition to the production support team to assist with new platform configuration, further integration with other enterprise systems, and general production support resolution. The Product Analyst will work with a cross-functional agile team including vendor resources plus internal IT and business SMEs.
This role combines business acumen—used to triage and clarify inquiries with technical skill to implement and test system configuration changes. The Product Analyst must take initiative to develop a deep understanding of Interconnection business processes and policies. They will learn and apply PowerClerk configuration to navigate complex, varied program setups, and update or implement new configuration. Using this expertise, they diagnose the root cause of system issues, identify patterns and opportunities for efficiency, and coordinate or implement the appropriate fixes. The Product Analyst will build strong relationships with business process owners and SMEs, translating business requirements into workflows, business rules, and logic within the IMS.
Experience working at the intersection of the business and IT is valued in applicants for this role.
