Job summary

TEGNA Inc. KFSM-TV Fayet is seeking an innovative Producer to shape daily newscasts and drive compelling local storytelling across platforms in the Fayetteville market.

You will pitch ideas, craft stories of all lengths, and collaborate with a team to inform audiences with accurate, engaging content while adapting for streaming and broadcast formats. Strong journalism and 1–3 years of newsroom experience are required, with ENPS and Edius knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in journalism, communications or related field or equivalent years of experience.
• 1-3 years of news content experience.
• Top‑note communication skills are an absolute must.
• Strong journalistic judgement with a focus on local content and community engagement.
• Knowledge of the tenets of professional journalism.
• Producing engaging, content‑driven newscasts and digital content.
• Strong social media presence and platform versatility.
• Ability to work under time pressure deadlines and handle live breaking news.
• ENPS and Edius system experience preferred.

At KFSM-TV Fayet, we build creative shows that engage, educate and inform our audiences. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in journalism, communications or related field or equivalent years of experience.
• 1-3 years of news content experience.
• Top‑note communication skills are an absolute must.
• Solid journalistic judgement and a news philosophy that emphasizes accurate, fair and unique local content, along with community engagement.
• Understanding of the tenets of professional journalism.
• Skills in producing engaging, content‑driven newscasts and digital content.
• Strong social media skills, including an active news hound presence on your preferred social platforms.
• Organizational skills and the ability to work under time pressure deadlines.
• Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and changing events.
• ENPS and Edius system experience preferred.
