Formaggio Kitchen's produce department seeks a team member to stock, cull, receive deliveries, place orders, and assist customers with produce questions. The role is physically demanding and requires lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.

Shifts are afternoon/closing on Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday. This hourly, non-exempt position offers hands-on merchandising opportunities in a fast-paced specialty food environment in Cambridge, MA.

Formaggio Kitchen's produce department works with many small farms both in California and within New England. We focus on organic and sustainably grown fruits and vegetables, and work hard to source the best produce available and sell it in the best condition possible.

Typical daily tasks include stocking, culling, receiving deliveries, placing orders, and assisting customers with produce questions.

Qualities we are looking for:

• Passionate about good produce
• Shrewd decision making and creative problem solving, to keep produce loss low and displays bountiful
• Conscientious and hands-on, to order successfully
• Good aesthetic sense and merchandising

Our current scheduling needs are afternoon/closing shifts on Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday. This is a very physically demanding position - must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.

COMPENSATION: This position is hourly non-exempt, varies depending on experience $17 - 19/hr
