Job summary

Martin's Super Markets, part of the SpartanNash family, seeks a Produce Clerk to maintain the produce department in Granger, IN. The part-time role focuses on trimming, preparing merchandise, stocking shelves, and delivering excellent guest service in line with company standards.

Responsibilities include weighing and labeling products, rotating stock, assisting with deliveries, and keeping the department clean, safe, and well merchandised.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Cut, slice, and prepare produce; follow procedures for trimming and storing product.
• Weigh, package and label products.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per guidelines.
• Fill, rotate and merchandise produce and floral shelves; assist with deliveries and stock in coolers.
• Notify Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Practice suggestive selling techniques with customers.
• Maintain knowledge of products, prices, and uses.
• Keep department clean, attractive, and well stocked.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
• May assist in other departments as needed.
