Job summary

ShopRite of Waretown, located in Waretown, NJ, is seeking a Produce Clerk to deliver a great customer experience by pricing, stocking, and rotating produce. Maintain a neat department and follow safety and QA standards while supporting company service priorities.

The position requires ability to lift up to 60 lbs, stand for long shifts, and interact with customers in a friendly manner. Vision, dental, life insurance, and a legal plan are offered as benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to lift 25–60 lbs as required.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and handle cleaning agents safely.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and interact with customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Assist in pricing, stocking, and rotating merchandise in Produce.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and visually appealing department.
• Differentiate between types of produce by taste, seasonality, and use.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, pricing, and restocking.
• Maintain sanitation and QA standards and report equipment issues.
