Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Team Member for the Produce department to support receiving, stocking, and merchandising. You will help maintain the floor and displays while providing courteous, friendly service to customers and Team Members in line with WFM standards.

This entry-level position emphasizes strong customer service, attention to detail and teamwork, with responsibilities that include inventory, waste management, and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensures fresh, appealing displays by keeping cases and shelves clean and stocked.
• Assists with organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Monitors spoilage and communicates waste to buyers and supervisors.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time, prepared and ready to work; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including health, sanitation and safety standards.
• Maintains clean, sanitary working/shopping environment and equipment.
• Performs opening, mid and closing duties with sign/pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations promptly.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
