Job summary

FreshPoint is seeking a Finance-position focused on monitoring the quality of perishable products in the warehouse, with data entry duties for order information and related responsibilities. The role involves exercising discretion in the regular operation of product quality control, ensuring shipments meet standards.

Responsibilities include communicating quality status to stakeholders, assisting in resolving issues with managers and buyers, and maintaining compliance with safety and sanitation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior warehouse, inventory control or merchandising experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong written and oral communication skills and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Check produce in slots daily to ensure shipping products meet acceptable standards.
• Communicate status of product quality to necessary parties.
• Coordinate with Inventory Control Manager, Compliance Manager and buyers to resolve quality issues.
• Monitor variance reports for spoilage and warehouse damage.
• Inspect inbound freight, warehoused and outbound product and document product condition.
• Analyze and propose solutions for quality assurance issues.
• Observe all safety, sanitation rules and policies.

Job description

This is a Finance position responsible for monitoring the quality of perishable products in the warehouse on an ongoing basis, inputting order information through data entry while performing other related duties as required. Regularly exercises discretion and in performing duties directly related to the general operation of product quality control.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Check produce in slots on a daily basis to make a certain product that is set up for shipping is up to acceptable standards.
• Communicate regularly with necessary parties on the company's status on product quality.
• Communicate with Inventory Control Manager or Compliance Manager and buyers all quality issues and assists them in resolving them to ensure the customer receives the highest quality products possible.
• Monitor variance reports for accurate accounting of spoilage, warehouse damage, truck damage, etc.
• Inspect inbound freight, warehoused product, and/or outbound product and document product condition.
• Analyze, identify, and propose action to the solution of problems associated with Quality Assurance.
• Observe all safety rules, regulations, and sanitation policies.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Experience: Prior warehouse, inventory control or merchandising experience.

Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, effective written/oral communication skills, strong analytical skills.
