Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: At least 2 years in a related role; knowledge of produce industry preferred.
• Skills: Ability to operate warehouse power equipment; professional interactions; clear verbal and written communication; understanding shipping procedures in a high-volume warehouse.
• Produce varieties handled in wholesale operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products to identify quality issues and assist with repacking as needed.
• Conduct daily walk-throughs of assigned coolers to check product quality.
• Check product dates for proper rotation.
• Remove distressed product and determine what to rework or discard.
• Rework distressed or damaged products.
• Communicate quality issues to buyers, management and associates; report lost or transferred product.
• Ensure inventory is properly blocked and labeled.
• Inspect product on production lines and notify line leads of issues.
• Identify products by size, origin, and count.
