Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a Production Associate to support daily production on the line, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency for each run. You will work with the line leader to address issues and maintain a clean, organized workspace that meets SQF standards.

Responsibilities include achieving standard rates, monitoring KPIs, operating equipment like peelers and bag sealers, and performing sanitation tasks. Bi-lingual abilities and lean manufacturing interest are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Related industry experience preferred.
• General understanding of processing procedures preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume warehouse/production facility preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP policy preferred.
• Ability to use and handle sharp knife, peelers, and hand machines.

Responsibilities

• Performs to standard rate for assigned production line and communicates to leadership when company standard is not met.
• Be aware of production performance KPIs.
• Maintains a safe and clean workspace. Ensures work area is washdown ready for sanitation to finish including the floor, tables, cutting boards, and equipment.
• Maintains quality specifications of unfinished products.
• Prepares, cuts, and repacks product per customers’ specifications.
• Operates machinery such as potato peelers, bag sealers, and others.
• Responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of the work area.
• While adhering to sanitation and safety procedures for handling and production to SQF standards.
• Colleagues must follow GMPs.
