Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. seeks a capable team member for its produce department to perform prep and merchandising duties. You will provide friendly, efficient service, maintain quality, and support store programs while upholding health and safety standards.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility to work evenings/weekends. Prior retail experience is not required, and a team-oriented attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Cuts fruits and vegetables, following all safety and sanitation rules.
• Ensures product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Cleans department continuously and maintains sweep logs.
• Arrives to work station on time, groomed and ready to work; attends trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling; answers phones promptly.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including health and safety rules.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary work/shopping environment and operates equipment safely.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
