Job summary

Albertsons Companies in Milwaukie, Oregon is seeking a Produce Department Manager to lead daily operations, ensure freshness, quality, and exceptional customer service in the Produce department. You will manage product rotation, planograms, and promotional displays to drive sales and maintain attractive, market-ready displays.

You will coach and develop produce associates, build labor schedules, and ensure compliance with food safety and store standards in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Produce handling, rotation, and freshness standards.
• Retail merchandising and promotional execution.

• Ability to review sales, shrink, and inventory data to drive results.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Produce Department with a focus on freshness, quality, and customer service.
• Deliver knowledgeable, friendly service and ensure associates demonstrate strong product knowledge.
• Execute corporate merchandising programs, planograms, seasonal sets, and promotional displays.
• Maintain full, fresh, clean, and visually appealing produce displays at all times.
• Manage product rotation, remove damaged or unsellable items, and maintain freshness standards.
• Order, receive, inspect, and store product following food safety and rotation guidelines.
• Manage shrink through inventory controls, root - cause identification, and waste - reduction strategies.
• Build and manage labor schedules aligned with business needs.
• Train, coach, and develop produce associates while maintaining a positive team environment.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and company operational standards.
