• Experience in produce, grocery, retail, or warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of inventory control, rotation, and stock management.
• Ability to identify product quality issues and proper handling.
• Experience leading or overseeing team operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily produce operations to ensure availability, quality, and presentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory through stock control, rotation, and replenishment.
• Ensure produce is handled, stored, and displayed per company standards and food safety.
• Monitor quality and freshness; remove or dispose of unsellable items promptly.
• Supervise and support staff to ensure adherence to procedures and standards.
• Coordinate merchandising, signage, and displays to boost sales and engagement.
• Review inventory trends, shrink, and discrepancies to address issues.
• Support receiving by checking incoming product quality and accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and regulatory compliance in the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the produce department to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through proper stock control, rotation, and replenishment practices
• Ensure all produce is handled, stored, and displayed in accordance with company and food safety standards
• Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable items
• Supervise and support department staff to ensure adherence to company procedures and operational standards
• Coordinate merchandising, signage, and product displays to support sales and customer engagement
• Review inventory trends, shrink, and discrepancies to identify and address areas of concern
• Support receiving processes by ensuring incoming product is properly checked for quality and accuracy
• Maintain overall department cleanliness, organization, and compliance with applicable regulations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in produce, grocery, retail, or warehouse operations
• Strong understanding of inventory control, product rotation, and stock management
• Ability to identify product quality issues and ensure proper handling standards
