Job summary

Sam's Club in Ames, IA is hiring a Produce Department Lead to drive sales, supervise hourly associates, and model expertise in Produce to meet member needs and uphold company standards.

You will lead the Produce and Floral teams, coordinate with other leaders to achieve the club's business plan, ensure quality, safety, inventory accuracy, and consistent merchandising, and use handheld technology to plan, train, and improve service.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in a fresh production department or supervising a team.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to successfully complete required trainings and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Produce and Floral team to deliver on the business plan.
• Communicate department goals and adhere to company policies.
• Collaborate with other team leaders to ensure the club meets member expectations.
• Maintain knowledge of floor operations, quality, inventory, safety and compliance.
• Utilize handheld technology to plan, monitor production and improve product quality.
• Plan for profitability and maintain a neat, safe work area for the team and members.
• Train and develop associates to deliver high quality products to members.
