Job summary

Hy-Vee in Muscatine, IA is seeking a Produce Clerk for the Produce Department. You’ll keep the department stocked, fresh, and welcoming while delivering friendly service that makes customers’ shopping easier. No extensive experience required; we provide training. You’ll rotate stock, assist customers, check in deliveries, and help with sanitation and department upkeep to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Less than high school diploma or equivalent experience accepted.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; we'll provide all the training you need to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting every customer with a smile, assisting them with their needs, and going the extra mile to make their shopping experience a great one.
• Review the status and appearance of merchandise for freshness and replenish and rotate product to maintain quality standards.
• Ensure an adequate product supply is ready and on hand; develop or follow a production list and anticipate daily product needs for the department.
• Check in product, put product away, and review invoices as needed.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish product as necessary.
• Practice proper sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean, neat, and safe at all times.
• Remove trash in a timely manner and assist with general department upkeep.
• Order product and supplies and price products for customers as needed.
• Answer the phone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who call.
• Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all department and company guidelines.
• Pitch in with other tasks or special projects as they come up.

Education
