Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Current food handlers permit once employed

Responsibilities

• Role model the 3A’s of Friendly: acknowledge, assist and appreciate our Customers
• Promote Corporate Brands to customers
• Promote trust and respect among associates
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and heard by answering questions about products
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with recommendations
• Assist with the preparation produce platters/trays
• Inform customers of produce specials
• Recommend items to ensure customers get what they want
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
• Report stock/ordering discrepancies to the department manager
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay current with ads
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and log temperatures
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
• Inspect equipment and report repairs needed
• Report accidents and safety risks to store management
• Handle high-paced, stressful environment and manage conflicts calmly
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
